So much of beautiful Colorado is on fire. Record breaking heat, mixed with gusty winds and a lack of rain fulled many of these out of control fires last week. Temperatures have cool a tiny bit over the last few days and the winds have died down which has enabled firefighters to gain more ground on controlling and fighting the fires. So much is lost though.
The fire season in Colorado began on March 26, 2012 when the first fire started. Since then over 204,000 acres have burned throughout the state. Approximately 650 homes have been lost and 4 people have been killed. The two most destructive fires in Colorado history have been in the last three weeks.
As you may or may not know I live in Denver, CO and have for nine years now. I love Denver and the beautiful surrounding mountain areas. Luckily we have been completely safe in Denver during all of this but it has been heartbreaking to watch the coverage nonstop on the news. People have lost so much.
The five sets below are to raise funds for Colorado. The full amount of the sale including shipping (whatever you pay) will be included in the donation. I will cover the fees and shipping.
I will donate to the Colorado chapter of the American Red Cross. They are providing shelters, meals, etc. to those affected by the fires.
